The Semi-Dwarf trees need 400 chill hours, are self-fruitful & bear in early June. Maroon colored skin, semi-freestone flesh. Sweet with little or no tartness & very pleasing, mild flavor. Prolonged harvest. Very productive. Narrow, upright habit.
Catalina
Fruit is large & black & a favorite fresh market plum. Sweet & juicy &stays firm when ripr. The skin & pit area have very little tartness. A very productive tree w/ high taste tea scores.Ripens July to Aug. in So.Cal. One of the BEST plums for fresh eating! Self-fruitful. Needs 400 chill hrs.
Golden Nectar
A unique eating pleasure! An unforgettable eating experience w/ its golden skin & firm amber flesh. Very sweet & flavorful. The pit is small. Fruit keeps well & ripens in late July. Self-fruitful & requires 4-500 chill hours.
Nubiana
Semi-Dwarf, requiring 400+ chill hours. Self-fruitful. Purplish black skin, amber flesh. Large, firm, flattened shape. VERY sweet and flavorful with very little tartness at the skin & pit. Excellent for home orchards. Bears in late July.
Santa Rosa
Standard size tree, self-fruitful, needs 300 chill hours. The most popular plum in Calif. Juicy, tangy, flavorful. Reddish-purple skin, amber flesh, tinged red. Good production. Bears mid June.
Satsuma
Standard size tree, bearing late July. Favorite in So. Cal. Mottled maroon over green skin, dark red meaty flesh. Sweet & mild, not tart. Very good for jam. Pollinate with Santa Rosa. 300 chill hrs.
