Pink Lady
Semi-Dwarf, no pollinizer required, chill hrs/400+, bears late October. A hot climate apple from Australia. Very crisp, sweet-tart distinct flavor. Good keeper. Skin is reddish-pink over green when ripe.
Scott’s Favorite Apple Crisp
8 cups peeled, cored, & thinly sliced cooking apples.
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbsp flour
2 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Gently mix apples with sugar, flour & cinnamon.
Crumble together:
1 cup old-fashioned Oats.
3/4 cups packed brown sugar.
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
Then stir in: 3/4 cup chopped pecans.
Sprinkle evenly over apples.
Bake at 350 degrees until apples are tender & topping is brown, 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Serve warm or cool … topped with vanilla ice cream. Serves 9
